Ilaria Margutti’s needle creates connections and correspondences through time and space. In the artwork "The Variables of the Swan", inspired by the life and scientific discoveries of the astronomer Henrietta Leavitt, she creates a narrative on seven large embroidered canvas in which the artist’s hands become those of the scientist who reach for the galaxies until touching the stars with their fingers, in a dance that involves the viewer, and transporting her/him in a cosmic journey.
